Cracking Art Group is an Italian group of six cutting edge artists who utilyze re-cycled plastics to create series of animal sculptures. Each edition of snails, bunnies, dolphins, etc. conveys a specific meaining for the urban enviornment and modern society.
The ARTKABINETT social network of fine art collectors has already begun to see huge "Pink Snails" situate themselves around Miami in preparation for the Art Basel Fair.
The snails are meant to send us a message to ”slow” down, stop running, and stop destroying our beautiful planet.
Yesterday AK files reported on their arrival. Today way we explore the artists of Cracking Art Group who created them.
The goup works in collaboration with the Galleria d'Arte Ca 'd'Oro, Rome.
There are six founding artist members of Cracking Art: Renzo Nucara, Marco Veronese, Alex Angi, Carlo Rizzetti, Kicco, William Sweetlove.
"Why choosing huge fucsia Snails wandering around the city? Because we need to play with the city in order to rebuild it ideally and mentally and break with the daily urban routine rediscovering both the urban crossing and landscape.
"We chose the Snails because they convey three different metaphors through contemporary art language: the first one is connected to hearing, since the Snail' s spiral reminds us of the human ear; the second one can be related to living, given that this nice animal carries its home around on its back.
The last one, in the end, refers to current technology, since the grafic symbol " @ " ( which is called " snail " in italian language ) is used in computer-mediated communication .
Finally, considering the snails are made of recycled plastic, the Cracking Art Group' s project " RE - generation " embodies another important value, sustainability. This means leaving a mark - an artistic mark - on the metropolitan landscape together with an ethically responsible approach to ambient.

1. We want to change the codes for the art of the future.
2. Art is as important as our own life.
3. We are men of the present and want our work to interpret contemporary problems.
4. Art and life do not exist without a wholeness of nature.
5. Art and culture are the only possibile saviours of the world and humanity.
6. We have chosen 'Cracking' for our work as it shows the molecular fission between natural and artificial.
7. Our elected material is 'plastic', containing the whole experience of the planet, natural / artificial, ancient / future, and in which we seek the archaic anthropological, vegetable and animal origins, in order to build a new kind of iconography.
8. We are enemies of hypocrisy, conspiracy and suspicion.
9. We fight for the defence of nature and man with all our force.
10. We want to leave behind a better world than the one we found.

» una storia bellissima iniziata nel 1993, una storia fatta di arte, artisti, stima e grande amicizia, legata ad una filosofia che ci unisce e ci porta sempre avanti per affrontare nuove sfide. Ogni giorno Ë diverso, pieno di stimoli, proposte, idee rivoluzionarie, progetti ed eventi. Una vita vissuta in modo davvero intenso.
